How it is calculated

The monthly amount is taken directly from the official 2026 table (Acuerdo SETRASS-233-2026), by sector and company-size band.

The daily wage is the monthly wage ÷ 30; it matches the acuerdo’s daily column to the centavo.

For maquila, a single unified rate (L12,930.07 in 2026) applies for all company sizes.

Worked example

You work in the manufacturing industry at a company with 1 to 10 workers.

1. Monthly minimum wage (manufacturing, 1-10): L12,869.14.
2. Daily wage: L12,869.14 ÷ 30 = L428.97.
3. Comparison: maquila has a single rate of L12,930.07 per month (L431.00 daily).

The monthly minimum wage is L12,869.14 and the daily wage is L428.97 for that sector and company size.

How to interpret the result

The acuerdo took effect retroactively from January 1, 2026 and covers 2026 and 2027.

The 2026 average minimum wage is L14,917.20 per month (Comunicado SAR-19-2026), used as the fiscal reference and the base of the décimos exemption.

For agro-industrial firms, the acuerdo applies the manufacturing level to industrial-area workers and the agriculture level to agricultural-area workers (art. 3).

Common mistakes

• Using the 2025 (carryover) table: some secondary sources still publish the superseded table; this calculator uses the 2026 one.
• Applying a size band to maquila: maquila has a single rate for all company sizes.
• Confusing the average minimum wage (L14,917.20) with a specific sector’s wage: the average is only a fiscal reference.
